Performance and Ofsted

Ofsted Inspection

Our latest EYFS Ofsted Inspection in May 2025 graded us Good overall and Good in all areas. A copy of our report is linked here.

Highlights of the report:

  • The curriculum is well‑designed: It is engaging, ambitious and tailored to meet each child’s next steps in learning. Staff plan purposeful activities supporting children’s development.

  • The staff are nurturing and supportive: They build strong relationships with children; children feel safe, settle quickly and behave well.

  • Children develop skills well for the next stage of learning.

  • The setting provides good support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND): assessments are thorough, links with external professionals are robust, interventions are swift.

  • There is a strong culture of reading: books are available at all times; children independently engage with stories; staff encourage reading at home through reading packs.

Academic Achievement

Every member of staff at Four Oaks Primary School is dedicated to ensuring your child makes the best possible progress. Through purposeful monitoring, evaluation and assessment, we ensure that children’s learning follows the coherent learning sequences that we have planned in all areas of our curriculum. Children develop core knowledge and skills in all subjects and apply these skills learnt in other aspects of life and learning. They achieve well, fulfilling their potential and are fully prepared for the next stage in their education journey. Children read widely and fluency and comprehension are highly valued and taught.

We strive to ensure that all children are supported and strive to reach their full potential regardless of their age or starting points.

Our outcomes are published on the Department for Education’s website here.
