Year 4 English
We took our English lessons to the next level by stepping into our 4D room! The children ventured into a magical forest, using their five senses to vividly describe the setting. Through sharing and evaluating ideas, they crafted wonderful adjectives, noun phrases, similes and personifications, making the lesson truly engaging and fun. The children absolutely loved it!
Here are some examples of our amazing, shared ideas:
- “Towering trees swayed gently in the breeze."
- “Like a crowd of vivid green umbrellas, they greeted the girl.”
- “Above, the colourful, fluttering leaves danced in the air like graceful butterflies.”
- “Delicate daffodils nodded their golden heads.”
- “Beneath the trees, the forest floor was alive with a buzzing, crawling sea of insects, weaving through a carpet of bluebells.”
