School Highlights

Year 4 - English

In Year 4, we took our English lessons to the next level by stepping into our 4D room! The children ventured into a magical forest, using their five senses to vividly describe the setting. Through sharing and evaluating ideas, they crafted wonderful adjectives, noun phrases, similes and personifications, making the lesson truly engaging and fun. The children absolutely loved it! Here are some examples of our amazing, shared ideas:

“Towering trees swayed gently in the breeze.” (Blake)

“Like a crowd of vivid green umbrellas, they greeted the girl.” (Alex)

“Above, the colourful, fluttering leaves danced in the air like graceful butterflies.” (Peace)

“Delicate daffodils nodded their golden heads.” (Marciana)

“Beneath the trees, the forest floor was alive with a buzzing, crawling sea of insects, weaving through a carpet of bluebells.” (Y4 teamwork) 😊

Year 2 – Maths

Year 2 children each chose a 2-digit number to write on our mini whiteboards; we then challenged ourselves to order our numbers as a class from smallest to greatest and then greatest to smallest. We also discussed what would happen if we chose the same number.

Flu vaccinations - Tuesday 3rd November

Dear Parents/Carers

Your child is due their flu immunisation this term. To help us prepare and if you haven’t already done so, please complete your child’s consent form when you receive it to your email address or mobile phone. You can choose either the nasal spray (recommended for best protection) or the injectable flu vaccine if required. If you don’t want your child to receive their flu vaccine, please complete their form with a decline to avoid receiving further follow up calls and text.

Remember: Flu is not just a cold! it can be a very unpleasant illness and can sometimes cause serious complications. Vaccinating your child helps protect them and also reduces the spread of flu to more vulnerable family members, friends, and the wider community.

If you need support completing the form or have any questions, please contact Liverpool School Aged Immunisation Team:

Kind regards,

School-Aged Immunisation Service
