School Highlights

Year 3 - World Museum

Year 3 had a fantastic day at Liverpool World Museum, as part of their Ancient Egyptians topic. During the visit, the children took part in an exciting artefact workshop where they became archaeologists, discovering what life was like in Ancient Egypt. The workshop gave the children the opportunity to handle the artefacts, ask questions, and learn about the mummification process, pharaohs, everyday life, and Egyptian beliefs. They impressed the museum staff with their curiosity, enthusiasm and excellent historical knowledge! We then explored the Ancient Egypt gallery, where we saw fascinating exhibits, including mummies, statues and ancient treasures. The trip was an engaging and memorable experience that brought our history topic to life!

Year 6 - Anfield Stadium

Our Year 6 pupils had an exciting and inspiring transition trip to Anfield Stadium, where they explored a wide range of free clubs and activities available to them in secondary school. From trying out musical instruments to stepping into the ring for a boxing taster session, the children embraced every opportunity to discover new interests and build confidence for the journey ahead.

A particular highlight was climbing aboard one of the brand‑new electric Arriva buses. Pupils loved exploring the interior and even had the chance to sit in the driver’s cab.

"I really enjoyed the afternoon, we got to learn about lot of clubs that we could join and had lots of fun". – Umut

"I loved the singing section because we all took part and supported each other." Kendall

"I loved learning how to play chess for the first time; it is something I would like to do again." Mason

A message from the Headteacher

Dear children and families,

The children have been telling us that recently they enjoyed meeting their new teaching teams and visiting their new classrooms in preparation for next year. As I went around school they all looked very settled in their new rooms and were more than ready for the step up. Our new Year 6 children (currently Year 5) had the opportunity to spend a full day with their new Y6 teaching team at a tennis club and tried lots of different activities. Their description sounded great fun and the teachers said how much they enjoyed the day with them.

The teaching staff are looking forward to working with all the children across their year groups from September. Overleaf, we have listed the Teachers and Teaching Assistants for each year group. If a member of staff is listed more than once, it is because they are sharing their time between more than one year group. Moving year groups and working alongside different teachers and any new children joining Four Oaks is an exciting time.

As you know, at Four Oaks we pride ourselves on excellent Teacher & Teaching Assistant to pupil ratios. Next year we will be continuing this trend to ensure your children receive the best education and support for their wellbeing. We are delighted to let you know that we have some new teachers joining our Four Oaks team in September. They include Mr Massaro, Ms Haimes, Ms James, and Ms Boyle. We would also like to take this opportunity to wish Ms Chambers, Ms McClements and Mr Kavannagh well as they explore teaching opportunities closer to their homes.

Kind regards,

S Robinson,

Invitation to meet your child’s new teaching team.

In September we would like to invite you to meet your child’s team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants. The staff will be able to introduce themselves to you and give you an overview of the year ahead and how you can work together to benefit the children. For instance, they will ensure you know when PE and swimming sessions will be taking place and what your children will need. Information about reading and homework and how you can help your child at home will also be shared. You may ask any other questions you may have.

The meeting will take place in your child’s classroom for approximately 20 minutes and the children are welcome to come with you. Any other siblings can also come with you and should not be left unsupervised outside the classroom. These meetings are for year groups Reception to Year 6. Acorns and Nursery staff will be available to speak to parents at the start and end of daily sessions.

  • Thursday 03.09.26 3.20pm - Year 2
